I’ve lived in Las Vegas, NV since 2015 and had quickly trail blazed myself as a working musician. Performing everywhere from coffee shops, dive bars, casinos and theaters, I averaged about 200 shows a year; including two tours to NYC up until the pandemic. The local Las Vegas art scene and community is a completely underrated and hidden oasis in our drunken desert. Back in da day (2015ish), musicians, poets and artists of all ways used to gather at The Beat Coffeehouse and wherever ‘Human Experience’ was set up. The Beat and “H.E.” are long gone but Jorge Lara has still remained a staple in the Las Vegas art community flourishing with his photography, hosting exhibitions and documenting it’s rich and unique culture in music, art and fashion.
